Our brands

Well established brand names are highly valuable for any company. Brand building is important for Zenitel, and the company has established a portfolio of brand names that have won broad market recognition over the years. Here is an introduction to some of our most well known brands.

STENTOFON

STENTOFON is widely recognised as the leading brand for integrated security intercom communication systems, particularly when special operations or special purpose stations are required. The brand also has a reputation for providing the most flexible, reliable and superior quality, hands-free communication systems available today. In recent years, whilst providing ongoing support for their traditional analogue product, STENTOFON has implemented new IP products and exchanges called STENTOFON AlphaCom E. This new solution is an evolution into IP technology while maintaining full backwards compatibility for existing projects. This STENTOFON solution opens up new opportunities and markets and has confirmed STENTOFON’s strong position as a leading brand name in the business.

VINGTOR

Zenitel is one of the world’s largest suppliers of onboard communication systems for ships and offshore installations. Solutions and equipment are developed and marketed under the brand name of VINGTOR – a name known to ship owners and ship yards across the world. The name used to be a Norwegian company founded in 1946 which designed, marketed and distributed radio systems. In 1988 the company was purchased by the STENTOFON company, but the name VINGTOR has continued to evolve into a brand offering extensive experience in the design, construction, installation and maintenance of integrated marine communication systems. The brand name is today used by the part of the Zenitel organisation serving the shipping industry, Zenitel Marine.

Chuchubi
ChuChubi

Zenitel first offered Network services in 1993 and introduced the ChuChubi brand name in 2004. The name is now so well known in the Caribbean and in the Netherlands Antilles that people today do not speak about their "portable" or their TETRA radio, but refer to their radio as their ChuChubi. ChuChubi is also the name of a bird known for its whistling that is said to spread news and stories around the islands. Zenitel operates a public safety network based on the TETRA standard and ChuChubi is the brand name for equipment and services marketed on basis of this network. ChuChubi infrastructure allows customers to use secure communication as a 'plug and play' service.
