The test procedures were conducted as follows:
Low Temperature
The units are to be exposed to -40°C for 24 hours. Then a performance test will be conducted. Thereafter the mentioned equipment is to be exposed to -50 °C for another 24 hours with a performance test at the end. At the end of the test, the mentioned equipment is to be returned to normal conditions and final performance test shall be performed. The units are to be kept operational throughout the whole test.
Damp Heat, steady state
The units are to be installed in the climate chamber at normal conditions and then the temperature and humidity are to be raised to test conditions, +55°C/95%RH, as rapid as the climate chamber allows. The test conditions are to be maintained for 24 hours. At the end of the soaking period, a performance test is to be performed. The same test shall be done after the EUT’s have returned to ambient conditions.
