Description

The VINGTOR IP DECT 6000 System is an integrated part of the following VINGTOR ACM systems:

  • ACM Analogue System
  • ACM Standard Integrated System
  • ACM Advanced Integrated System

The DECT cordless phones, VMP intercom and analogue telephones have all access to the ACM services. Users will be able to enjoy the benefits of one users experience and seamless mobility as they will always be contactable where ever they are on the ship.

The IP DECT 6000 System provides wide area coverage. The systems support up to 256 base stations. Each base station has maximum radio coverage of 50m indoor and 150m outdoor. To extend the radio coverage of a base station the system support DECT repeater. A DECT repeater does not require any networkconnection except power.

Note! The DECT server will centralize all radio planning for easy operation and configuration of all DECT base stations.

The IP DECT 6000 system is easy to install. The DECT base stations connect directly to the ACM system racks over the IP data network. The DECT base stations have very good robustness against radio interference even in hostile radio environment. The system uses Dynamic Channel Selection and Allocation(DCS) and is thereby able to reduce the levels of interference, and ensure that links are set up using best radio channels.

Note! Rooms under deck with steel walls, floor and ceiling are areas that are difficult to cover with radio.

Zenitel cannot promise 100% coverage in these areas. However, it shall be noted that DECT provides good and better radio coverage in these areas compared to other technologies like WiFi phones.

DECT or Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications is a European standard for digital cordless phones. Today the DECT standard is approved world wide.

Note! Each DECT phone requires a SIP user license in the ACM system.
