Zenitel is proud to be part of this large project from Arubus, which include upgrade of their fleet by adding new busses and the installation of a complete Smart Card payment system. Mr Willemsen emphasized that it took several months of discussions and research concerning the technology to be used in order to be able to improve the current service. Conclusion: the SmartCard system manufactured by Busmatick is definately the most beneficial for its clients.
The Smart Card system that is going to be introduced on Aruba will be available for the public on the 1st of July 2012. The system is produced by the company Busmatick from Spain. On Aruba Zenitel will provide communication, system integration, local support and maintenance for the Smart Card system.
The system will give Arubus all the necessary tools to optimize their routes, time management, create different rates for general passengers, residents, elderly and students and optimize safety on board by reducing cash on the busses, resulting in an improved passenger experience.
