STENTOFON® Technology

Primary Elements in System Design:

Hardware – STENTOFON systems comply with the highest of standards. Standards we achieve by engineering and testing our products thoroughly and using only top quality components. This allows us to increase our product offering, providing systems suitable for any environment.

Software - our products are designed for ease of use and installation. We do so by keeping software simple yet in compliance with common protocols in the security and telecom market such as .NET, OPC, SIP and IP.

Backwards Compatibility
As we introduce new technologies into the market, our priority is to design systems that are backwards compatible.  The STENTOFON AlphaCom E uses IP technology but integrates with older systems allowing customers to utilize existing stations with the option of adding traditional analog or IP stations.

Audio Quality
STENTOFON offers the highest audio quality available in intercom. IP stations and analog stations provide 7 kHz of frequency response. IP stations have an active noise cancellation feature that cancels out background noise so clear audio quality can be achieved.

Special Purpose Stations
STENTOFON is the preferred name for large hospitals, correctional facilities, airports, college campuses and industrial sites. We comply with market standards, developing stations with the customer’s needs in mind. Station varieties include those with anti-bacterial coating for easy sterilization for operation rooms, tamper resistant stations equipped with light control and scream alarm for prisons, and heavy duty, tamper resistant industrial stations for extreme environments.

Integration with Other Security Systems thru Open Standards
STENTOFON understands the importance of having a comprehensive security solution including intercom, CCTV, access control and alarm. That’s why STENTOFON has an open platform to allow for full system integration. Using the power of SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), AlphaCom E integrates with portable and mobile phones, allowing these to function as intercom stations. Hardware components allow for integration with telephones, GSM and radio technology.

System Flexibility
The AlphaCom E has its own OPC server so it can easily integrate with other systems. The STENTOFON system has an event handler based on the Microsoft .NET technology. The event handler is unique in the world of intercom, giving the exchange its flexibility and making it possible to meet most, if not all, customer requirements.

Distance – Never an Issue
Thanks to IP, exchanges located around the world can be connected through fiber optics, coax or internet. This technology is called AlphaNet. The AlphaCom E exchange has a wide range of monitoring and logging features such as Syslog, Web, SMTP and SMS. These features can be set up remotely for critical logging information and distributed in a matter of seconds regardless of distance.
