IP Station License
The AlphaCom E has a native IP architecture which supports all IP functionality. This means that IP stations do not require any specific subscriber cards inside the exchange, but are controlled directly from the main processor card, the AMC-IP. This approach means that up to 552 IP intercom stations can be connected directly to even the smallest AlphaCom E exchange, the AlphaCom E7. An IP station license for each IP station is the only requirement for this software based solution.
One of the major benefits of the native IP architecture and its IP station licensing, is the fact that group call audio can be distributed to all IP stations as a single multicast audio stream.
Multicast reduces the data bandwidth requirements on the IP network dramatically; the more stations are a member of the group the bigger this benefit is. In addition the audio quality is very much improved especially if audio can be heart from several locations at the same time, as there is no delay difference in the audio stream delivery to the different IP stations.
As a further enhancement to this, IP stations which are part of a WAN, which may not support multicast, can be used to multicast group call audio on behalf of the exchange to other IP stations which are a member of the same remote LAN sub-net.
IP SIP License
The SIP Stations License for STENTOFON AlphaCom E makes it possible to connect STENTOFON certified SIP equipment via IP.
The license makes it possible to take advantage of many of the useful features associated with SIP based IP telephony equipment between the SIP stations themselves and the other STENTOFON stations. The sound quality is excellent across the network when using the wideband codecs included in the STENTOFON
AlphaCom E node.
AlphaNet and Multi-Module VoIP Licenses
The license for STENTOFON AlphaNet makes it possible to establish communication between AlphaCom E nodes in an IP network. The STENTOFON AlphaNet technology is made for Critical Communication over IP and includes functions such as alternative routing, priority calling, group calls, conference calls, IP firewall and IP priority.
Multi-Module License
The STENTOFON AlphaCom E multi-module function makes it possible to increase the capacity of an exchange by adding up to four AlphaCom E exchange cabinets together in a multi-module. The multimodule exchange acts as one node with full integration of all features. In the multi-module exchange one of the modules will act as master module and the others will be slave modules. The multi-module exchange supports redundancy mode. In case of master-slave communication error, the slave module will fallback to work as an individual exchange serving calls between stations connected directly to the exchange module.
SIP Trunking
This SIP Trunk License makes it possible to connect AlphaCom E directly to iPBXs over IP networks. SIP trunks give a seamless integration between the AlphaCom E and other telecom systems supporting advanced functions like ‘see who is calling’ and shared numbering plans.
