Backwards Compatibility
Many customers choose to change or increase their existing communication equipment when buildings are renovated or expanded, new systems become available and/or when systems become obsolete. All STENTOFON systems are backwards compatible, meaning they work with older system technology. The AlphaCom E server supports stations based on both analog and IP technology and is designed to support emerging protocols based on IP.

STENTOFON understands the importance of integrating other communication systems for a comprehensive security solution. The STENTOFON OPC standard defines a method of accessing data from other devices such as CCTV, access control and alarm systems. There is no need to write specific interface protocols for each combination of hardware and management software, providing enormous savings in cost and time.
