Project Engineer (UK)
Responsibilities
Design of PAVA system including 19” rack layout and connectivity
Design of PAVA control system via single and networked workstations
Configuration of IP Public Address & Voice Alarm systems to interface with Control
Systems
Produce project-specific documentation (system design, test and handover)
Support rack production process including system test
Document and Manage Factory Acceptance Testing of systems
Understand the company processes, and work within them
Design and support customer upgrade and migration plans
Support the commissioning of the system in it’s final location where required
Support Project Manager to deliver the project on time and to specification
Support any on-going maintenance and support obligations
Ensure compliance to Health & Safety and Contractual obligations are met
Always ensuring we adopt a full ownership end-to-end culture
Experience
Engineering / Technical role within a project delivery organisation
Knowledge of Public Address Voice Alarm and / or Linux (Ubuntu) control systems
Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking knowledge with a good understanding of Multicast
Knowledge of Acoustic principles, DSP Routers, loudspeaker zoning, 100V line
amplification
Knowledge of IP-based audio distribution, PoE, and network protocols (TCP/IP,
UDP, SIP, VLANs).
Producing Project design documentation (e.g. Inspection and Test Plan (ITP),
Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), etc.
Producing and reviewing CAD documentation
Competence in onsite installation, cable preparation and termination. Setup and
testing of low-voltage systems including interfacing to third party systems, Fire
alarm panels (BS 5839-8 / EN54-16 compliance)
Working with customer, colleagues and stakeholders to resolve technical and
logistical problems, taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions
Reporting and managing technical risks & issues and their mitigations throughout
the project life cycle

Education & Qualifications
The candidate will hold a higher education qualification in a relevant subject such as
Engineering, Computer Science or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
Relevant site safety certification such as CSCS card or equivalent.
