How to turn your smartphone into a SIP client and connect to an IPBX

Many 3rd party apps turn your smartphone into a fully functional SIP client and both Vingtor-Stentofon AlphaCom and Pulse systems easily connects through the SIP protocol.

Dial in with SIP clients.

Instantly, your smartphone becomes another communication point in the Vingtor-Stentofon system. Any SIP app that allows a generic SIP account can be used as long as they offer these codecs: G.711 A-law and u-law or G.722. We recommend using G.722 for better voice quality.

SIP and DTMF makes your smartphone unlock doors and trigger events

More advanced SIP apps support Dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) functionality. DTMF is the function used for sending input signals back to the server via the key tones. Vingtor-Stentofon AlphaCom and Pulse supports RFC2833 and SIP INFO, which are the most commonly used DTMF protocols. Any 3rd party SIP supporting these protocols will allow for even more interactions with Vingtor-Stentofon, such as unlocking of doors or trigger other relevant events through the communication system. Some apps that support this function: Bria (iOS&Android), 3CXPhone (iOS, free of charge), CSIPSimple (Android, free of charge).

Welcome to a new world of possibilities.
