US joins APTA - American Public Transportation Association
APTA serves its members through advocacy, innovation and information sharing to ensure public transportation is available, accessible and safe for all Americans. The membership gives Vingtor-Stentofon the opportunity to attend all associated APTA events and conferences across the country including the recent Trans/Tech Conference held in Orlando, Florida where Dan Rothrock spoke to a crowd at the breakout session titled: “Meeting the Evolving Demands on Security for Public Safety.”
“Being a member is the first step in allowing ourselves to become more in-line with the transportation market in the US, said Rothrock. To have a room full of transportation professionals hear and understand the need for effective IP audio in this major market segment was exciting. Thanks to our joint efforts with Norway, we were able to make some important contacts and establish this alliance with such a significant transportation group.”
APTA members are public organizations that are engaged in the areas of bus, paratransit, light rail, commuter rail, subways, waterborne passenger services, and high-speed rail. Members also include large and small companies who plan, design, construct, finance, supply, and operate bus and rail services worldwide.
