Vingtor-Stentofon played a vital part in Space Shuttle Environmental Tests at Johnson Space Center

Vingtor-Stentofon played a vital part in the Space Shuttle Environmental Test of the Crew and Thermal Systems Division of NASA's Johnson Space Center in the 90's.

Travelling to space requires a vast amount of equipment of which communication is one of the most important. Naturally the Vingtor-Stentofon station was something the astronauts at the training facility mentioned by name.

«Other test support items in the photograph are (...) a Vingtor-Stentofon communication station above the MRE heater, a folded lounge chair with flame resistant webbing, and the forward closed-circuit television camera.», writes James Skipper on his blog.
