Zenitel set to Illuminate Delegates with New Communication Solutions for Ships
Zenitel, international market leader in integrated communication solutions for the professional market, is pleased to confirm its attendance at the Shipbuilding, Machinery and Marine Technology International Trade Fair (SMM) from 23-26 September. Zenitel Marine will present the very latest in integrating ship data and communication and will highlight its new ACM critical communication range, a new and advanced bridge panel and new IP DECT stations. Fresh from the printers, the Vingtor-Stentofon STEENHANS 132-page catalogue will also be available in print or on CD from Zenitel Marine’s stand, booth number 023, located in Hall B7.
Zenitel Marine, a company with over 60 years experience in the design, construction, installation and maintenance of integrated marine communication systems, is a pioneer in raising the standard for more flexible and competitive ships. At SMM Hamburg 2008, the leading international marine trade fair this year, Zenitel’s Vingtor-Stentofon brand, one of the two brands which make up Zenitel Marine’s portfolio, will make public a number of new developments.
Zenitel Marine will present three different Vingtor-Stentofon ACM systems from its stand. The Vingtor-Stentofon ACM Analogue System, the Vingtor-Stentofon ACM Standard Integrated System and the Vingtor-Stentofon ACM Advanced Integrated System. The ACM Analogue System, also known as Vingtor-Stentofon ACM-M-A, is available to meet basic requirements for onboard communication in a cost effective way. It’s type approved, available in different rack sizes, and has optional VoIP gateways with 4 and 8 channels.
The ACM Standard system meanwhile supports Vingtor-Stentofon's Integrated PA, GA, Talkback and telephone solution and features the latest developments like IP telephony, Web management and IP switching. ACM Standard is extremely efficient when SPA loudspeakers loops are used with ACM intercoms; traditional, IP or wireless. IP DECT base stations may also be connected directly to this exchange offering an extremely resourceful solution for deploying a wireless network onboard.
Zenitel Marine’s most Advanced Integrated System is one complete system that provides communication, data, safety and IP entertainment (TV, Internet and gaming) using Zenitel’s ‘all in one cable’ solution. Using this advanced wiring and patch solution results in a significant reduction in cabling infrastructure as a single CAT7 cable can be used for all communication devices. The ACM Advanced solution is offered to customers using a new modular building practice to allow customers to select from a wide set of function modules which best suit their needs – accommodating from 30 to over 1,000 users.
All three systems can be used with Zenitel’s new IP DECT base stations which together with IP and analogue telephones and intercoms, enjoy access to the same set of ACM features. The advantage is a single, simple, user experience and seamless mobility; you can contact someone or be contacted where ever you are on ship.
At SMM Hamburg, Zenitel Marine’s 30sq meter stand will be made up of themed areas incorporating interactive bridge and cabin solutions. Zenitel, having increased the station range for the ACM systems, will be demonstrating an Advanced Bridge Panel for PA, Talkback and Telephone based on IP. The IP Flush Master Station will be shown, just one of the stations in a newly designed IP station range profiting from a large, high contrast display, backlit for excellent readability.
Zenitel Marine welcomes customers old and new to SMM Hamburg and encourages you to contact Zenitel’s Horten office for a complimentary ticket to the fair. Please call +47 33 03 16 61 or email sales.marine[at]zenitel[dot]com
