The AMC-IP processor board for AlphaCom XE comes with more features, greater flexibility and increased audio bandwidth. AlphaCom XE utilizes true IP audio edge devices (IP master stat ions, IP substations and SIP stations) that provide HD Voice, active noise cancellation, adaptive jitter buffering, and an integrated managed switch with advanced networking and security functions.

The processor board offers more capacity than ever, allowing for additional software-based features and functions such as PA broadcasting and messaging services, security voice guidance, internal and external networking, call billing, audio conferencing and SIP station support. Vingtor-Stentofon's CCoIP® (Critical Communication over IP) implies the employment of Voice over IP applications required in critical situations. AlphaCom XE is designed with CCoIP incorporation which ensures the delivery of instant and secure voice and data services.

The AlphaCom XE system provides carrier class system availability and protects resources in an IP environment by using embedded IP security mechanisms. The main security mechanisms used are restricted management access, separate  management interface, internal firewall and integrity check (MD5). The AMC-IP  processor board is backwards compatible, thus facilitating upgrades and expansion of existing AlphaCom systems.

The AMC-IP processor board is also used in Exigo systems. In these systems it is responsible for maintaining the configuration and monitoring of all the devices connected in addition to controlling the routing of audio in the system. Located inside the Exigo System Controller ESC1 where it is designated as the Primary System Controller (PSC), it provides maintenance personnel instant access to the status and activity in the system. Exigo systems requiring additional redundancy (A-B systems) will use two Exigo systems controllers, each containing one AMC-IP processor board.
