    The Technical Account Manager works in the Sales Team to create winning security audio solutions that deliver client value, are technically viable and profitable for Zenitel. This role supports the growth of Zenitel BU Transportation Solutions business by providing support/training to the Sales Team and to Customers. Focus being on understanding best fit for purpose Zenitel solutions in Rail Infrastructure, Rail Rolling Stock, Tunnels and Airports. Especially focus on the design of Zenitel products and solutions into specifications, compliance to specifications given by customers and by providing the delivery of accurate and timely quotations and bids together with Bid Team.

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Be the Sales team's technical solution expert, understanding all existing and upcoming products and solutions and introduce these both internally (to sales team, project team and others) and externally (to customers) in different ways to fit requirements from the market.
    • Very close link to the company's Product Management team to get all needed product and solution information in order to keep Sales and Customers up to date on any important changes in our offering.
    • Ensure unique selling points of Zenitel products & solutions are up to date and frequently communicated to Sales Team and customers, especially new things.
    • Make internal and external powerpoints, application sheets and other commercial documentation to support the above.
    • Know competition well – who are we up against and what are the main gaps that needs to be filled in our solutions up against our most important competitors. 
    • Identify product/solution portfolio enhancements
    • Liaise with strategic end customers and specifiers/A&Es to influence requirements and drive supplier preference both in the UK and Globally. 
    • Taking on some direct Account Management responsibilities for selected accounts as the business grows and as the candidate, team and management see fit.
    • Produce accurate and detailed quotations, presentations and systems proposals for project bids.
    • Commercial Project Management/Bid Management
    • Maintain regular contact with selected customers/clients to provide company, product and services update to them in conjunction with trainings or bids – in close cooperation with the responsible Account Managers.
    • Ensure business solutions are aligned with goals, strategy and priorities

    The Candidate

    Skills & Attributes

    Must have:

    • Excellent team player and verbal/written communication skills

    • Good computer skills: use of MS office eg advanced Excel, Word. 
    • Engineering background with commercial interest and skills

    Desirable:

    • Use of CRM (Customer Relations Management) systems, ideally Dynamics 365.

    Knowledge & Experience

    Must have:

    • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Technical Support/Bid support 
    • Experience in the design, estimating and bid management of system-based projects
    • Demonstrable mix of Technical and Commercial understanding
    • Existing knowledge of PA/VA systems design and implementation on major international projects

    Desirable:

    • Knowledge of other IP Telecom Systems & Integrations e.g, Telephones, Intercoms/Help Points, Passenger Information Displays, CCTV, Control Systems, IP Speakers, etc

    Are you technically skilled with experience in designing and engineering telecommunications systems?     Role Overview
    We are seeking a Product Manager to take ownership of our rolling stock vertical, with a focus on amplifiers and custom intercom solutions. Additionally, this role will pick up responsibility for various other products in the portfolio over time.

    Key Responsibilities

    Product Ownership (Rolling Stock – Primary Focus)

    • Own the product lifecycle for amplifiers and custom intercom solutions within the rolling stock market 
    • Define and maintain the product roadmap aligned with customer and market requirements 
    • Gather, prioritise, and translate customer needs into product specifications 
    • Work closely with engineering to deliver solutions that meet performance, compliance, and cost targets 
    • Ensure products meet relevant rail standards and project-specific requirements
