Scalable, IP-Based Solution for Maritime and Offshore

Meet EXIGO – The Intelligent IP-based PAGA System for Maritime and Offshore

EXIGO is Zenitel’s fully IP-based Public Address and General Alarm (PAGA) system, designed for the most demanding maritime and offshore environments.
It delivers clear, intelligible audio throughout the vessel – from the bridge to the engine room – ensuring that critical messages and alarms are always heard.

Built with a modular and scalable architecture, EXIGO adapts easily to different vessel sizes and operational needs. Its IP backbone supports flexible system design, integration with other onboard systems, and redundancy for uninterrupted communication.

From routine announcements to emergency alerts, EXIGO provides a reliable communication lifeline, helping crews work safely and efficiently – in all conditions, anywhere in the world.

The Requirements – Cybersecurity for Onboard Communication Systems

From 1 July 2024, new vessels over 500 GT must comply with IACS Unified Requirement E27 for onboard communication systems.

For EXIGO, this means:

  • Compliance with DNV SP1 (Cyber Secure – Essential) class notation
  • Built-in security measures: access control, encrypted communication, role-based access
  • Strengthened hardware and firmware to meet product-level criteria
  • Secure development lifecycle with continuous vulnerability monitoring and updates

Why it matters: Compliance reduces cyber risk, ensures type-approval readiness, and meets regulatory demands for safe and resilient maritime operations.
