Event wrap-up: 40th International WorkBoat Show

The 40th Edition of the International WorkBoat Show was held last week at the Ernest Memorial Convention center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Zenitel was one of several hundred exhibitors at this yearly event, and we are very pleased with the outcome of #IWBS19.

Several of our long-standing partners in the US market attended, including Mackay Marine, Beier Integrated Systems and Fusion Marine/Network Innovations. We also got the chance to speak with many end users and shipyards interested in our products and services.

From January 2020, our New Orleans office will act as a separate legal entity under Zenitel's Marine & Energy business unit. This will allow us to leverage our local resources in the United States, providing more efficient and responsive service to our customers, as well as ensuring we can grow our offers and services in this location on a larger scale.

David Welch, Operations Manager, will lead the local office, with support from Norwegian HQ via Jens Petter Beckmann, our Area Sales Manager for North America, and further support from Senior VP for Maritime Americas & EMEA, Dragan Radošević. Joining David in our New Orleans office will be Andrew Adams, Maritime Sales for North America, and Michael Simmerman, Project/Service Engineer.

#IWBS19 Wrap up

While the International WorkBoat Show for 2019 has just come to an end, we are already planning for next year's event. “This event is true value for money. It has a great focus with the right topics on the agenda, and the conversations we had throughout gave us extremely valuable insights into our partners' and clients' challenges moving forward,” says Thomas Aas, Marketing Lead for Maritime & Energy, Zenitel.

Dragan Radošević adds, “We are excited to leap into the future, with the restructuring of Zenitel Group into two business units – one for the onshore Safety & Security market and one for the offshore Maritime & Energy market – will definitely help strengthen our position and maintain the right focus towards our Maritime & Energy partners. The new setup of our US Maritime & Energy office will also create a substantial impact in this market. We look forward to what 2020 will bring.”
