Vingtor-Stentofon featured in Beatles movie

In the end of August the new movie, Beatles is out. The movie is based on the famous Norwegian novel with the same name. It’s about four boys growing up in Oslo in the 60’s. One of the props used to give the movie a credible 60’s look is a Vingtor tube amp.

In search for props, the filmmakers contacted Finn Kjeldsberg, the owner of Plekter. Plekter is a store in Horten who specialises in guitars and vintage accessories for guitars.

Vingtor-Stentofon  was one of the most common tube amps used at school parties and gatherings in the 60’s. Finn was therefore more than happy to let them use his 67’ model Vingtor, Model Rock, tube amp. Kjeldsberg says that it will be really exciting to see the movie and the tube amp at the big screen.

VINGTOR Amp, still popular
- The Vingtor amplifier is rare to come across. It looks and sounds great. I've been trying to get hold of one, but it's really difficult, said Piet De Vriendt Zeniteller and guitar player in Little Pete Band.
