Offshore wind farms, a more developed market in Europe, but hardly established in the U.S., will be a growth stimulating opportunity in all those industries that create the infrastructure and installations and the myriad vessels that serve them. One exciting proposal will be a huge new project off the coast of New Jersey.

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration plans to have all ferries run on pure electric propulsion by 2030. In Norway, this is called the Ferry (R)evolution. By 2022, there will be so many electric ferries operating in Norway that the annual emission cut will be equal to that of 150,000 cars.

Worlds first Twin Hull SOV
Cemre Shipyard in Turkey has become well known for taking on innovative and demanding vessel concepts. DEME has concepted a new Twin Hull SOV (Service Operation Vessel) for Windfarm Operations together with Vuyk Engineering Rotterdam and Marin and the keel laying of the vessel already concluded at Cemre Shipyard in December last year.
